reflection of what happened today

for about an two hours we got stared at and looked as we stood near a giant  pinata of the word conduct
people came and stared they asked questions. some people seem adverse to us when we told them that they could hit it. some just walked by saying they had class couldnt take a minute out for a little bit of fun. others asked if they could hit it. over all i was kind of strange that not that many people declined the chance to hit the letters. people just seemed like they had to act in a way where they couldnt hit or didnt want people to see them doing it. it just seemed like people werent okay with the idea of letters that were meant to broken. there were those that really enjoyed the chance to hit it and had fun with it. in between the hits i could see a little smile here and there. over all it seem like that people enjoy seeing and/or  beating the letters up. over all the work paid off
i hope every one enoy it cause i know i did

just hanging out

deeeeepppppppppp

ideo looks like  fun place to work in tho the workshop looked like some sort of prison room kinda like a dorm room too white bricky walls and concrete floor. learned things from the video though is to be proactive in getting ideas from your audience , take ideas from others and mash ideas together to create super ideas. one of the big things was just try something and then see what happens dont confine idea to something appropriate or that is just expected shoot ideas out and keep going.

the hand out things pretty much what those word mapping things do is help you keep thinking on the idea and keep going to place that you usally would think of if you had not done a word list or concept map.

great illustrations!

so the other day i happen to find my self in the bookstore bookstore the jayhawk ink i think it was, but so i was was browsing around looking at the books. in the art and design area they had some sweet books that were bargain priced but i decided not to buy them to save my money, but alas my money is never truly safe from being handed over to a cashier for something cool. as i was heading out my eyes caught on to a brilliant cover. and illustration with the colors of blue white grey and yellow and orange. one comparable to that of my copy of one flew the cuckoos nest and the reason i bought that book was because of the cover also. the book is hans christian andersen' fairy tales and the artist is anders nilsen. and its a penguin classic too so it should be great. but i grabbed it and quickly bought. and as i got back i looked up the artist and anders nilsen is a great illustrator! but now im 15 poorer... but well spent
the cover!
and this is anders nilsens website!
